Ilsat was leaving the building of the Supreme Committee for State Security when he saw a woman and man talking. Her face seemed familiar, but he wasn't entirely sure.

"Excuse me one minute", the woman said before approaching Ilsat.

"Nice uniform", she said. "How are you doing?". Ilsat realized she was the same woman he met twelve years ago in Cair Para.

"I am fine, thank you", Ilsat replied. "And you? I joined the Kyrzbekistani Guard five years ago".

"I realized", she answered with a smile. "I can't complain either. There isn't much to tell. I just came back after four years in Rojadavistan".

"Maybe we meet again in other circumstances", she continued. "Who knows".

Ilsat left, without looking back, although his mind was precisely doing that while he was walking.

Got an idea for a great event. A world royal gala for all royals from all families to attend from all around the world minus a few horrible ones like say Adwest(Basically no Adwest lol). Basically it would be in either Cair Para Palace or on a big resort on one of Goldecian overseas territories most likely New Arthuria Isles or New Luther Isle. Basically it would be a good place for royal marraiges of the royals from various families or making links and new friends. There would be few limits on attendees.

Basically the overseas territories of Goldecia have referendums on integrating into Goldecia and gaining seats in parliament. Thy'd become like French guyana basically. THE CDP government propose it to make adminstration far more efficient and give them more of a voice. It is put up to referendum with most voting in favour given the demographics.

Wednesday 25 Zechyr, 1599
Arkianian occupied territory in Octitania

Tracers, missiles, and explosions lit up the sky in an operation launched by Octitanian forces in the objective of taking back land occupied by Arkiania in a previous border skirmish. The attacks were an initial success. Arkianian forces were caught by surprise and the front checkpoints were quickly overrun, however defenses were further back, and it wasn't long before Arkianian forces respond with forces that were held back behind the border. By 10AM, the first checkpoints were captured by Octitanian forces, and with the help of Close Air Support would take the 2nd group a checkpoints by 2PM, the fighting was fierce, but with no air support Arkianian forces were forced to continue retreating. By 5PM, the 3rd round of checkpoints and positions were taken, but by this time the surprise was lost. Arkiania forces began crossing the border to reinforce the battered troops who were retreating. The Airforce was in the air and mobilized and immediately began responding to Octitania Close Air Support.

In Arkanium, the King was alerted in his office, and ordered an immediate meeting with his council. The room was tense as to how to respond next.


The Councilor of Defense started the meeting off "At 8AM this morning, Octitanian Armed Forces attacked our checkpoints along the various occupied areas along the border and have been pushing back our forces since. As of right now, we have responded and have sent a brigade to each of the tree occupation zones with air support, however Octitanian air support is stiff, and we may not be able effectively provide Close Air Support with Octitanian fighters about. We can send more troops, but I think if we were to continue trying to hold, Octitania will most certainly declare war. We multiple plans drawn up over the years for this, so we should not be caught completely unprepared. If we are to beat Octitania a quick strike against their important facilities and airforces should weaken them enough for us to be able to advance into Octitania territory and hold them until Mestran support arrive. The Navy has been put on standby. Our options are either we send troops, back off, or we declare war and frame it as an attack on our sovereignty. Now, onto the suggestions and concerns."

The Councilor of Foreign Affairs spoke next "I think declaration of war shouldn't be left off the table, our Armed Forces have been preparing and training for years for such an event. They can immediately launch plans now if we only decided to. In my opinion, all of this standing by while Octitania attacks our men and us only reinforcing them with scraps waiting to see what action takes next is absolutely ludicrous! All this is doing is allowing for Octitania to prepare even forces for a full scale attack against us. Right now we should establish contact with the Mestrans, and with Drahen as well. We should be acting acting quick, and I agree with the suggestion that we should make a quick strike on Octitania and advance as much as we can before the Mestrans can arrive."

Interrupting his General, the King made decision. "We should be contacting with our allies first, if we declare war right now. It will be viewed has attack, and our allies will not be obligated to help us in such an event. I will immediately be consulting with the Mestran King, and with Drahen as well. In the meantime send involve more aircraft and send more brigades to reinforce the occupation areas. Maybe Octitania will back off. This meeting is done."

The King rushed to his office, and established contact with Mestra and Drahen...

HEAR ye, hear ye, the 1599-1600 session of the Nyland Federal Assembly is now in session. All Honourable Assemblypersons, do please take your seats for role-call.

Within these halls, all legislative decisions for Nyland shall take place. Anyone from any party shall be allowed to present legislation for consideration, but only one bill may be active upon the floor for debate and vote at any one time. Furthermore, during debate, one must clearly state who is being recognized to speak on the floor, their party (if applicable), and then put forth their statement or argument for or against the bill and other points of discussion; one may refer to others arguments if they so desire, but they shall refrain from direct outbursts on the floor without having been called to the floor to speak.


The Rules
This is meant to be a fun thing where anyone can pop in as an assemblyperson of Nyland's legislature, and legislation by no means has to remain serious or solemn. There are a few basic rules to consider, however:

1) Legislation for the period can only be presented during an open period for submittal. The status of the Bill Submittal period is located above. If you miss the posting period, tough shit; hold onto it for later.
2) Submitted Bills are first-come, first-served. If emergency stuff happens, such as natural disaster or a state of war, a separate thread will be created. (No more Tambossa-style "vote only" unless time is really, really of the essence)
3) There are no time limits on debate. If the session ends before debate finishes, or we don't get through the queue of bills, then tough shit, it's gone; remake it in the next session.
4) To move for a vote, two people must motion for a vote. Voting will then begin in this thread, with people posting whether they vote for or against, and which party they represent.
5) After a bill moves to a vote, there is no revote; will not be re-submitted until the next session.
6) Votes will be weighted by party, and the party's votes split based upon those who recognize themselves as from such party. Individual people may of course split their alloted votes amongst (yes), (no) and (abstain) if they so wish.
7) Any Bill that passes a vote, regardless of how trivial or silly, will move to the President's Desk for consideration; the President must post his approval/denial in this thread.
8) Any bill denied by the President may still become law with a 2/3 majority in favor in the legislature; any bill approved by the President is in immediate effect and becomes law throughout Nyland.

So as I get back into the swing of things after my hiatus of god-only-knows-how-long, I need to catch up but I have had an idea for an RP.

Basically, now would be around the time that fascist Kolhar starts to have economic issues. My current idea is to have peaceful protest start when food prices start getting a bit too high for the poor, and have those protests grow in strength in spite of attempts to stop the protests by the fascists. I'm hoping that eventually the fascists will be forced to peacefully cede power to protesters and allow for free and fair elections (originally not planned to be free). The fascists (wanting to avoid the same mistakes that led to Arz Brianan's demise) would reserve a majority of seats for their own candidates with the only way to not allow them in to be to cross their name off the ballot to vote against them, fascists would assume that the single-option vote would give them a resounding victory but so many people would vote against fascist candidates that the opposition gains power, leading to a dissolution of the fascist government and reunification of Kolhar.

But that said, I'd imagine this would gain the attention of many local powers, so I want to see how other local powers would react when the first protests in fascist Kolhar start gaining more traction.

What are your national standards on traffic direction, railway gauge , electrification and tv standards etc .

Severograd, Severyane

Andrei Yeleshev and his wife enjoyed the view from their touring boat on a hot summer day in the Severyanian capital. Yeleshev was a remarkably tall man, with broad shoulders, a balding head, and thick-rimmed round glasses. His wife was taking photographs, while Yeleshev sipped from his coffee. A couple was sitting directly opposite to them at the table. There weren't many other tourists on board.

The couple came from Mordvania, but they were of Nentsian descent. The man, who was rather short and timid had introduced himself as Pavel Jahoraw, in perfect Severyanian. Jahoraw and Yeleshev knew eachother. They somehow met eachother wherever they went. Yeleshev had met the Yahoraws on their trip to Saratov, he had met them in Kubaniza, and he had met them on their trip to Aurentine. This was not a coincidence of course.

Pavel Jahoraw worked as a school teacher in Mordvania and spent the summer vacation in Severyane. Yeleshev and his wife ran a small bookstore in Severyane. When Pavel Jahoraw realized he had run out of cigarettes, he politely asked Yeleshev for one, who handed him a package of cigarettes. There was only one left in it. 'Keep it,' he said to Jahoraw.

Jahoraw opened the package, took out the cigarette, read what Yeleshev had written on the inside, and tossed the empty package into the river.

As the tour came to an end, both couples each went their separate ways again. The next day however, Pavel Jahoraw left his hotel alone and headed for the adress that Yeleshev had written inside the cigarette package. After taking a little detour, Jahoraw stood before the book store that was owned by the Yeleshevs. He entered the quiet bookstore, which seemed rather old and dusty. The furniture was almost antique, the books were outdated, the floor squeeked, and there was insufficient light inside. The calm inside the store contrasted highly with the busy streets outside. A woman came down the stairs to welcome the customer. It was Mrs. Yelesheva.

'My husband is upstairs,' she said to Jahoraw. His presence in her book store did not surprise her in any way. Jahoraw went upstairs where he entered the small living room of the Yeleshevs. A tall man was sitting in a divan, smoking a cigar as he closed his laptop when Jahoraw came in.

'Sit down,' he said. 'Drink?'
'Just some coffee. Black,' Jahoraw responded, as he sat down on the couch.

'I suspect you have important instructions for me?' Jahoraw said. Yeleshev nodded. He didn't say anything. He stood up and walked over to the kitchen where he began to prepare two cups of coffee.

When he returned, there was a stern look on his face. His thick-rimmed glasses reflected the beams of sunlight that entered the living room through the windows. 'These are by far the most ambitious and dangerous orders I have ever received from M. M needs your cell to be involved to carry them out. You will get more support than usual for this.'

Jahoraw nodded. He was curious what to expect from his superiors this time. 'My cell consists of 11 agents. Only a few know eachother. We have safe houses. I have been ready for a long time. Tell me what to do.'

There was a moment of silence. Yeleshev sipped from his coffee, staring at Jahoraw. 'M has instructed me that your cell will be used to bomb the headquarters of Mord TV.'

Jahoraw's eyes widened. Had they gone nuts in Nentsia? He remained silent however. His brain immediately went into overdrive, trying to make a list of all the needs and things that had to be done to pull off such a task, and what resources were needed for it.

'Tell me what you need, and I'll see what I can do to help you in this endeavour.' Yeleshev added.

'An explosives expert,' Jahoraw immediately responded.
