Intense fighting over the past few weeks between Arkianian and Octitanian forces supported by Achian Insurgents reached an end today as Arkianian forces were ordered to stand down. The situation remains confusing as unconfirmed reports appear to imply that Arkianian forces occupy pieces of Octitanian territory along the border north of Mozion. While, a week ago Octitanian government claimed it had also stood down, and currently claims that Arkianian forces occupy their territory. Regardless, it appears that with the border conflict came the complete destruction of the Achian Insurgency. The two nations still have made no attempt at any sort of diplomatic solution to the crisis. Casualties on both sides are estimated to be over 2000, with Arkianian military deaths at 200 and Octitania casualties at 230. The Achian Insurgency bore the brunt of the fighting, with a staggering 1450 men lost. Civilians casualties are estimated to be 120. Multiple NGO's have accused the Arkianian Government of committing numerous human rights abuses.

The Octitanian Government has endorsed social media video and pictures in what alleges to appear evidence that Arkiania has occupied Octitanian territory after a border conflict in Septem. The Arkianian government responded to the pictures calling them staged and denies any occupation of Octitanian territory. Various internet users and analysts have pinpointed the location the checkpoint has been built and concluded that it is inside Octitania territory in a border town. Independent experts believe that this has further set the stage for the future war between Arkiania and Octitania, one which could threaten the existence of Octitania as a nation. Defense spending of both nations have skyrocketed, and Mestran 4th Fleet was deployed to the Gulf of Mestra as well as United Allied States fleet deployed to Arkiania.
