Operation Hidden Cobra
Nykoping, Nyland
David Kamminga looked up at the sign as his station was approaching. A female voice announced it on the speaker. As the metro came to a standstill and the doors opened, Kamminga jumped from his seat and walked out of the crowded metro. He was barely three meters out of it, when he suddenly turned around and walked back inside as the doors closed. He walked all the way to the back of to the cabin, sat down, and looked if he saw any familiar faces or clothes. The metro continued, and two stations later, Kamminga jumped to another line. Eventually he arrived at the Nykoping Airport, without having been followed.
He wasn’t necessarily expecting to be followed, but as cultural attaché of the Batavian embassy in Nyland, he wasn’t counting on it. Kamminga checked his watch. There was still time, fifteen minutes. When it was time, entered the parking garage attached to the airport, where a contact of Kamminga had parked his car the evening before. The keys he had left behind under a seat in the cinema, during a movie both men had coincidentally attended. During the break, the contact left the room to buy a snack, while Kamminga dropped his glasses. While reaching to pick them up, he simultaneously picked up the keys beneath the chair next to him. As such, Kamminga was now in possession of the car keys.
Once Kamminga unlocked the car in the garage, suddenly two men and a woman started to approach him fast. They came from all directions. They wore large sunglasses to cover half their faces, and had some luggage with them, but by their handling it was surely empty. When they stood in front of Kamminga, they stopped and stared at him.
‘I once saw a King Cobra in my yard,’ Kamminga said to them bluntly.
‘But in your youth, they called you a Monocled cobra, because of your glasses,’ replied the skinny looking man.
‘At least it wasn’t a Spitting cobra,’ said the woman.
‘And you can swim like a Banded Water Cobra’, mumbled the third.
Kamminga opened the car. ‘Let’s go then.’ The four of them got inside and the car left the garage. After a one-hour drive they arrived at a hotel. They had booked three rooms. The woman checked in together with the youngest looking man among them. She played the key role, that of a Batavian student with an activist past. In fact, that much was true about her. She had come to Nyland to attend a lecture on human rights hosted by Nykoping University. One of the speakers would be Aphiwe Mbizo, a Batavian in exile.
The girl, Ariana de Jongh, had no clue in what she was involved in. All she was told was to be herself. Janco Buys was pretending to be her boyfriend accompanying her on this trip. He was simultaneously also her baby-sitter. Ariana’s real boyfriend was being detained in a Batavian prison.
While Janco and Ariana stayed at the hotel, Kamminga and the third man, Rynold Kuiper, went outside, back to the car. Kamminga carried with him a diplomatic briefcase, containing $41,000 in cash.
They spent the rest of the day visiting bars and restaurants, then a casino, only to head down into the Severyanian immigrant neighbourhoods by the evening. Kamminga and Kuiper entered a shady night club, where members only were allowed by the bouncer at the door. Kamminga was a member. Inside the dark club, crowds were dancing on the floor and on the balconies, while barely dressed women were dancing within cages to entertain the crowds. The smell of cigarettes, sweat and alcohol immediately penetrated their noses, as they tried to claw their way through the numerous bodies hypnotized by a combination of music, alcohol, MDMA or cocaine.
Kamminga and Kuiper walked all the way towards the back end of the club, where there was a door leading to a stairs. A bouncer was standing on guard in front of the door, keeping an eye on the dancing crowds – making sure no one laid even a finger on the girls.
The bouncer looked annoyed at Kamminga as he approached him. Kamminga had the look of an accountant, with his greying, wavy hair, his big glasses, thin lips, squinting eyes and generally decent – if boring – clothes. He seemed a bit out of place in this setting. ‘I have an appointment with your boss, Boris. Head of Security of this place.’
The bouncer, somewhat surprised, reached for his phone and began to text frantically on it. Eventually, after a few minutes, the door behind the bouncer swung open. A trained MMA figher stood in the door opening, with a shiny bald head that reflected the colourful lights of the club. The muscular, stern looking hooligan looked down to see who was at the door for him. He told the bouncer to search Kamminga and Kuiper for any concealed weapons and then nodded to them to follow him upstairs.

Why do you seek to expand? The High King of Arkiania has nationalist aspirations to unite Krinisians and the Isle under one banner and turn Arkiania into a regional and world power.
Campaign Plot
Since the formation of the Constitutional Monarchy, relations between Arkiania and Octitania rapidly deteriorated and soon turned to hostility after invasion and annexation of Achia. This lead to a massive political change inside of Octitania, as its people see the inevitable Arkiania invasion. Nationalist fervor grew, and a political faction the ultra conservatives began rising in power. With the royal family giving endorsements to ultra-conservative politicians and Arkianian interference in elections and attempts to shift opinion, the stage was set for direct confrontation with Arkiania. In 1597 the ultra-conservatives were elected, taking a hardliner approach against Arkiania and began subversion efforts including smuggling weapons into Achia to Achian partisans which were for the most part defeated. Other efforts included giving sanctuary inside Octitania n borders to partisans and arming them with vehicles and weapons, and spreading anti-Arkianian messages through pirate radio broadcasts and pamphlets. The situation escalated even further on Septem 1st, 1598 when an Arkianian unit pursuing Partisan's unintentionally trespassed into Octitanian territory, and were engaged by Octitanian soldiers. A small border engagement ensued before Octitanian troops were ordered to stand down. Afterward, all diplomatic contact between the two nations were cut off and their diplomats called back. The buildup of equipment and soldiers on each nations borders ensued. On Marth 15th, 1599 a larger scale border conflict of the same type as before, escalates to a full conflict. The two nations simultaneously declare war with both blaming each other for firing the first shots.
Potential for Other Player Involvement
United Allied States consisting of Mestra, Drahen, and Arkiania. Possibility of Goldecian and Kazemuran involvement in favor of Arkiania. A very unlikely chance that Angiris would be involved.
How your country may evolve from success
Arkiania would restructure itself into a new state, and system, one which would likely see the power of the monarchy limited as response to likely unrest and overextension in the Isle.
How your country may evolve from defeatA defeat would likely see the collapse of the Arkianian monarchy and cause instability to the Isle as a whole.

The Liquor Store
Isabel Fuglsang slammed her laptop down on her desk, got up from her chair, and corrected her lipstick in the reflection of her telephone.
‘I’m grabbing a lunch,’ she grunted to a colleague.
She reached for her coat and headed out of the office, striding through the corridors of the Oslan Foreign Ministry in her high heels. Outside the building, Fuglsang walked around the bloc and double-checked a message in one of her mobile phones. A text message, sent the evening before, read ‘12.30 – 50 year old Baillieu’.
After a ten minute walk through the historic centre of Herlev, the Oslan capital, Fuglsang stood before a small liquor store. She took a deep breadth, checked her watch, adjusted her raincoat and entered the store. A characteristic bell announced that a customer had entered the store. The store seemed completely abandoned. Its dusty wooden ranks with bottles and liquor reached up to the ceiling. The only light came through the window, and the interior was made out of dark wood.
An older woman responded to the sound of the bell. She came out from the back of the store, looking through her dusty glasses to see who had entered.
‘Yes, hello. Can I help you?’
‘I believe a package has been delivered for me here,’ Fuglsang replied.
‘Package? What package?’
‘I’ve come to collect a very rare wine. A Baillieu, aged 50 years.’
The woman came closer to take a look at Fuglsang. She observed her for a while and then, as if she suddenly remembered, turned around. ‘Ah yes. I probably put that in our safe. Let me collect it for you.’
While the woman returned to the back of the store to look for the rare wine, Fuglsang walked slowly past all the bottles of liquor. Each one had a fancy design that would make the most repulsive drinks look tasty.
‘Do you need a bag with it?’ the woman shouted from the back end of the store.
‘Yes please,’ Fuglsang replied with a high-pitched voice.
Eventually the woman returned with a rare bottle of wine packed in a paper back with the store logo on it. ‘Your package will cost 600 Vrun,’ she mumbled as she checked in her computer. With a friendly smile she handed Fuglsang the package. Fuglsang had reached for an envelope in her bag and handed that to her.
‘My credit card is in there.’
The woman took it to the back again for ‘verification’, and returned a minute later. In reality the envelope had contained no money at all, but a micro SD card. Fuglsang put the emptied envelope back in her bag.
‘Enjoy! Have a lovely day.’
Fuglsang smiled back and left the store. Just as the envelope had not contained any money, so did her Baillieu wine bottle not contain any wine at all. Instead it contained a new SD card, a piece of paper, and some cash money.
Maybe an hour later, a short, chubby, balding man arrived at the liquor store. Again the bell rang, and the woman came out from the back again.
‘Ah its you mr. Arrighetti! How nice to see you!’ the woman exclaimed.
‘I always love to come and visit you, Alma,’ Arrighetti barked. ‘I hope you have some nice wines for me today!’
Alma, the woman, smiled. ‘Of course, dear. Something came in today, I’m sure your customers will love it.’
The woman went out to the back and came back with a crate full of wine bottles. One of the wine bottles was in fact empty, and only contained a micro SD card. Arrighetti smiled in his characteristic manner, paid Alma in cash, and walked out of the store with the wine bottles to his minivan. With the van he drove back to his Lomarran restaurant, Arrighetti’s.
That evening, Fuglsang did not drive directly home from work. She made a little detour passed an old industrial area of the city, where she parked her car near an abandoned factory. After having made sure she was alone, she got her ‘expensive wine’ from the trunk of her car, and in one smooth motion smashed the bottle to pieces on the ground.
Carefully, she quickly collected the banknotes, the piece of paper, and the SD card that were scattered among the glass shards. Fuglsang put the money and the SD card in her pocket, but she read the letter. It was a list of instructions. She took a few minutes to memorize the instructions and then destroyed the letter with a lighter. Then she got back into her car and drove home, to cook dinner for her family.

NPC History
Ocititania, officially known as The Empire of Ocititania(or the United Imperial Duchies of Ocititania) is a federal semi-absolute elective monarchy. It includes 7 semi-autonomous duchies and one unitary federal district containing the capitol. It covers roughly 350,000 square kilometers with a Mediterranean vegetation climate. Its capital is Polachia and the largest city is Laganda. With almost spanning roughly 45 Million people, Ocititania remains the most populous nation in the (blank) island.
Various Duchies formed around the 7th Century after the fall of the Arthian Imperium. However, in the late 9th Century the unknown Identity of "Tholagorites" documented that excessive raid and land takeover resulted in the extinction of numerous duchies. It was only after 30 years when a coalition of Duchies united against the Tholagorite kingdom, was the term Ocititania was used to define a greater realm. In 972, the Tholoagorites where expelled from the land and pan-Ocititania became more relevant.
In 1000's pan-Octitanism became popular throughout various Duchies. Finally, on the 7th of May, 1041 the Empire was formed under ''certain political conditions''.
In 1578, Unrest turned to civil war after the Emperor of the Nobility, and his assassination. The House of Dukes determined to hold onto power rejects the constitution agreed on by the Republicans and the Emperor. Arkiania soon intervenes and evacuates the government. Soon after Angiris intervenes guaranteeing the Republicans. 1 month later, the parties agree to a constitutional monarchy ending the conflict.

New elections in New zealmark
- Imperialist party: the party that is currently ruling new zealmark and always won the popular vote. Is willing to keep the status quo settled after the war
- Leftists for NZ: a socialist party: wants a fully independant NZ Free from svarna
- Commune For NZ: the communist, want NZ to flourish and don't care who is helping them as long as it benefits the people of NZ

3 weeks after the death of the soyabarian emperor
After 3 weeks of mourning soyabar was ready to bury its glory together with the last emperor which family had been ruling Soyabar since the year 420 after the independance from Lanlania. Preparations were made, invitations were send to other foreign nations to send a delegation of whoever they liked. No minimum rank, tough it was respected if the attended countries who would coorperate with the new soyabarian republic would send their head of state, at least those who wanted to be on good footing.
The former military arm of the royal guard was all ready and set to march out for the last time in the streets of the capital of soyabar, Handwerpenstad. Now it would be waiting for the attendance to arrive and get the proper honours beffiting their ranks.

Greetings, and welcome to the Fourth Annual Siora Awards! A new year means new beginnings and demands a new opening paragraph - something we haven't seen in three years. Eternity's birthday was this past October, and now with the end of the year here it's time to reflect upon the life and times we've spent together, and hopefully share (or remember) some memories we've had together as we move beyond into our fifth year.
With apologies to those who want further ado, let's get into the awarding of utter meaningless categories! There have been some changes this time around: - Removed the "Forum's Favorite Flag" category, since flags rarely change from year to year, and there isn't a central place to find them all, anyway.
- Removed "Liberator" and "Shepherd of the Drama Llamas" categories, as they weren't very funny anymore, and not very respect.
- Added "?" award
- Renamed "Most Developed Character" and "Most Captivating Story" to "Favorite Character Award" & "Captivating Story Award," respectively.
- Added "Lore Development Award"
Oh boy! How do I participate in this OfficialTM Activity?
All you have to do is copy everything within the spoilered code box below into a PM addressed directly to me, include your ONE vote for each category (which are explained below), and then submit the pm. After a Certain Amount Of TimeTM, all submitted "votes" will be tallied, and winners in each individual category declared - though we all know you'll win, you wonderful person you - to much celebration and fanfare.

Everyone gets to vote for everything; there are no special people with special votes for certain categories. Furthermore, while it's fine to not vote for a category if you can't think of anything for it, only a maximum of one vote is allowed for each...though it would definitely be nice if you took some time (minutes, hours, days, weeks) to see if anything comes to mind.

These OfficialTM Category names are weird, what do they mean?
Good question! Below are short explanations for each of the categories, so you know what you're voting for!
Member of the Year: The member who best represents what we want every member to be like, who best represents the best all-around person we like to have in our community. Completely arbitrary & subjective.
Contributor of the Year: Someone who contributed something of significant value to the community, generally someone who added/brought something that bettered the community as a whole.
Writer of the Year: The person who consistently writes the very wow stories, characters, etc. Maybe not the most quantity, but his/her consistent quality always impresses.
Newcomer of the Year: Like "Member of the Year," but specifically for people that joined the forum in 2018 only. Use that "Members" button at the top of the forum if you have to.
Most Active: Who on the forum is in the most dire need of sunlight and/or going to sleep.
Most Helpful: Someone whose always there to lend a non-judgmental, non-cynical hand with advice or guidance on any subject asked of them.
Most Creative: Who made the prettiest pretty? Pictures, videos...uh, sculptures? Artistic, creative-type stuff.
Best Sport: Typically someone fairly humble, the kind of person you always want to hang out or write with. Someone who's really quiet pleasant even in "defeat."

Most Memorable Moment: Anything - could be a post, chat snippet, anything - that was "totally epic," something that stood out as something worth remembering.

Captivating Story Award: The story (mtrp, fantasy, free-form, anything), and writer, that captured your attention and that you follow religiously? Bonus points if you have no active part in it.
Favorite Character Award: Like above, which person's RP/story/writing character really sticks out to you as someone/something memorable? Doesn't matter if the character is recurring or a one-shot "disposable" thing.
Lore Development Award: Like above again; be it fantasy, Alt-Earth, Siora, Andlosheim or whatever, this is the person, topic, or event that really stood out to you for their development of settings and lore in RP.

The Imperial Palace had for the past three weeks seen extensive preparation for the upcoming celebration. Staff moved this way and that; placing flowers here, moving furniture there. The Grand Ball room had been decorated to such a grand state that hadn't been seen since the coronation of Edward many years prior. The only portion of the Palace left untouched was the eastern wing where the Imperial Family's personal quarter were kept. The kitchen had been preparing for weeks now, everything had to be perfect.
The city itself was no quieter. The main parade route had been decorated and secured, visitors from far and wide had swarmed the city over the past week in preparation for the grand festival and ceremonies that would be held as part of the grand celebration. Security was unusually high for the Imperial Capitol, but that was to be expected. At long last the celebration that had been planned for nearly two years would be underway. It would be a time of joy and celebration, but also a time to remind the people of their commitment and dedication to one another. Through unity, the nations of Mestra, Drahen, and Arkiania had begun the long path towards building a bright future. Besides, who could blame the people for being excited? There were to be parties, festivities, and the Football Tournament to be held amongst the top teams in the UAS.
While preparations were being wrapped up, the airport was under high security as the Imperium waited to greet its foreign friends with open arms.
