Oil Crisis causing a world wide market fluctuation because Nyland can totes be a net importer of the shite; with the Near East nations and Sev basically causing prices to sky rocket due to internal market competition. Stuff happens...Nyland has a buckling economy due to economic policies by Kahoot and BLAM, HLE ends up being affected by the prices and Nyland's fucked up economy gets to them too. World ends up having to deal with not an economy that popped, but rather one which basically became halted. This leaves the door open for interesting topics as maybe potenitally oil is running low without new oil fields, or alternative energy techniques; making the military events we love so much have a different take as now fuel and its costs becomes an issue. Look, any global meltdown would have to have Nyland in the center of it all. They're the world's largest economy; it makes sense they are probably the hub for a lot of global trade. So for a global meltdown to happen would mean either ripples happening in a number of regional markets/economies (see the 1997 Asian Financial Crisis) at the exact same time, Nyland's economy has to topple (see the Great Recession) causing a global depression as its center is thrown off, or a combination of the two.
