If you wish to create/use a faction or organization within Nyland, pick one of the two forms below.
If someone creates a faction that you wanted to make, you can still use the faction with their permission.
For
Political Parties, use this form:

Code:
[u]Name:[/u] One guess as to what goes here.
[u]Icon:[/u] The crest/icon/graphic that represents the party. For example, US Democrats use dat ass...I mean, the donkey.
[u]Popularity:[/u] The popularity of the party within Nyland, either high, medium, or low. "Very low" is an option, too, if you really want the bare minimum influence. Only using this to populate the first government; after the first elections, all new parties will be treated as "low." Approval required for "high" popularity.
[u]Position on Foreign Policy:[/u] International stance. Left/Center/Right; far left is non-interventionist or multilateral, far right is interventionist or unilateral.
[u]Position on Economics:[/u] Party economic policy. Left/Center/Right; far left is socialism, far right is liberalism.
[u]Position on Political Centralization:[/u] Position on statism. Left/Center/Right; far left is anarchism, far right is totalitarianism.
[u]Position on Civil Rights:[/u] Gov't involvement in day-to-day lives of the people. Left/Center/Right; far left is complete individualism, far right is complete communitarianism.
[u]Position on Social Welfare:[/u] Welfare policy. Left/Center/Right; Far left is progressive, far right is reactionary.
[u]Info:[/u] Place background info here. The history, specific stances on issues, common allies within/outside government, anything that gives the party more depth and character.
For example, a party could be:
Position on Foreign Policy: Left
Position on Economics: Right
Position on Political Centralization: Right
Position on Civil Rights: Center-Left
Position on Social Welfare: Center
In the case of the above party, in regards to foreign policy, they favor non-interventionism, or at the very least gaining multilateral support to intervene in actions that don't affect their nation directly. The party favors liberal economic policies, prefering not to get too involved except to protect consumers and the employed from malicious business practices. The party is somewhat totalitarian, believing in a strong (if small) central government that can easily enforce the laws it passes. The party favors staying out of the personal affairs of people's lives, for the most part, but does still believe in regulating things such as public health, safety, and egality. The party is firmly in the center in regards to social welfare, recognizing the need for a public "safety net" and providing for the genuinely disadvantaged, yet warry of providing for those who could otherwise provide for themselves.
Go here for some nifty new ways to explain the ideals of your party other than simple "left" and "right."
For
All Other Factions, including companies, corporations, unions, non-profit/other organizations, civil rights groups, etc, use the following form:

Code:
[u]Name:[/u] One guess as to what goes here.
[u]Icon:[/u] The crest/icon/graphic that represents the company.
[u]Type:[/u] Describe in a few words what the faction is: Aerospace company/corp, Non-profit health organization, News group, a society for the advancement of pirate lingo, etc.
[u]Position on Foreign Policy:[/u] International stance. Left/Center/Right.
[u]Position on Economics:[/u] Party economic policy. Left/Center/Right.
[u]Position on Political Centralization:[/u] Position on statism. Left/Center/Right.
[u]Position on Civil Rights:[/u] Gov't involvement in day-to-day lives of the people. Left/Center/Right.
[u]Position on Social Welfare:[/u] Welfare policy. Left/Center/Right.
[u]Info:[/u] Place background info here. Includes specifically what the faction does; this should be [i]at least[/i] a paragraph of 150 words or more on its own, otherwise you [i]really haven't[/i] thought about it enough. 200 words is generally recommended for a decently fleshed-out organization. Also can separately include the history, specific stances on issues, common allies within/outside government, etc.
Once approved (with a little fancy stamp, probably; I'm not posting approvals to bump this thread), then you may go about using the faction to your heart's content. Add it to the
trade section, talk about how to use/post more info about it in the
OOC thread, maybe post some news within the
news thread. Most of all,
have fun, or I'mma kill you.
If you're curious about the old organizations,
here is the archived thread from which to pull information.
