Trudy Harrison cites candidacy as 'social movement'

IRON HOLLOW - This year's election in Millerainia has been noted internationally as one of the most controversial elections of the nation's history. With a week until Millerainians go to the polls, an unprecedented action taken by Lorde's Choice Party candidate Trudy Harrison has rocked the world.

Trudy Harrison is known for her opposition to the international community, international trade and supranational treaties. Her party, Lorde's Choice, calls for the worship of a 17 year old Millerainian girl from Cascade Lake, Hyawassee state in northern Millerainia. The official party platform of Lorde's Choice is to oppose Millerainia's international involvement while focusing internally at improving the physical and spiritual lives of Millerainians, who are notably among the region's most religiously apathetic.

In the past two weeks, Harrison's tax records and personal life and career have come under-fire by domestic media. Notably, The Daily Courier's Adam Robbinson reporting that Harrison had purchased a $900,000 property in Gehenna, and a $1.3 million house in the Angirisian Empire, both under the tax-loophole of using a personal corporation, Woopee, Inc. Millerainia taxes property held by Millerainians in foreign nations, other than their visa-free 'Right to Work' world partners.

On Tuesday, Harrison announced that she would suspend her campaign for presidency. "This entire candidacy was a test of Millerainia's spiritual health; You have failed the Lorde," Harrison said. "I was put here by Lorde to start a social revolution. Our movement will not be stopped by small steps backwards, because Lorde is everywhere. A step in any direction is a step in the right direction. Lorde bless Millerainia, I hope your people can see the light before it is too late for their souls."

Harrison ended her statement by calling the reporters and audience to pray with her in a large circle. An after-party was held at Brockslide Flats Convention Centre, where supporters and party-members joined together in singing the party anthem and ceremoniously burning Harrison's presidential candidacy permit.

However, in an series of unfortunate events following, the ceremonial fire sparked a fire in the room, destroying about $150,000 worth of furniture and a state-of-the-art media and lights system.

Millerainia's election continues with the Conservative Coalition, Progressive Coalition and Liberty Union.

HERLEV - Oslanburgan Construction Company, Aarsleff Construction has won the tender to construct a new terminal building at Jean-Brice de Maynage International Airport in Eskkya.

Aarsleff Construction won the tender with an offer of $3.34 billion. Aarsleff CEO Marius Poulsen said they had been following the construction project of the new terminal building for a long time, and expressed his pride of undertaking such a large-scale project. "We will open the terminal after completing it in the most efficient and fastest way possible," he added. The projected construction time for the new terminal is four years, with the opening ceremony schedule for late 1582.

Aarsleff Construction built and operated Terminal 3 at the Docrun Fenru International Airport in Oslanburg, as well as Terminal 2 at Dulleth-Wasen International Airport in Lienes, Florinthus.

Initially, the new terminal building at the Jean-Brice de Maynage International will have a capacity of 15 million passengers, and this figure will be increased to 20 million passengers in the future. Aarsleff, which is the prime contractor of the project, will provide repair and maintenance services within the two years after it transfers the building.

The company will also manage the operational transition process of the terminal after the construction period is finalized. The architectural design of the project is undertaken by Oslanburgan architectural company Dezeene & Bjarke, and it is expected that around 5,000 people will be employed during the construction process.

MORAIKA - The government of Sainam has imposed targeted sanctions on coup leaders and all high ranking officials of the Motherland Restoration Party that recently led a coup in the Empire of Akistsu. They include a freeze on all assets and a travel ban on the leaders who took power in Zechyr 13, 1578

The move comes as other Ostaran states such as Kazemura have already proclaimed what actions they would be taking against the coup leaders in Akitsu. A Sainamese statement confirming the sanctions said they included "a ban from entering all Sainamese territory as well as an asset freeze on all persons that threaten the peace, security and stability of Akitsu and the region as a whole". Condemning the coup, Sainamese Minister of Foreign Affairs Yoneda Aira said her government demanded that "constitutional order be immediately restored".

TARKEK - Following a failed military coup in Wadiyah, the Near East Treaty Organization Council has voted in an emergency session to deploy more troops to Wadiyah and provide new financial support to the Wadiyan government. The vast majority of NETO and Coalition troops pulled out of the war-torn country earlier this year, leaving administration and security fully in the hands of the interim government and security forces. Last week, however, elements of the Wadiyan military attempted to overthrow the interim president Bassam Al-Fayeed. The coup was defeated by a combination of loyal military units, Silistrian paramilitary forces, and civilian protesters.

"The Council has established the Wadiyah Committee to oversee military operations and foreign aid funding. The details are still being hammered out, but a minimum of 50,000 troops will be deployed to Wadiyah before the end of the year," a NETO spokesman said.

Wadiyah is still recovering from the devastating civil war which ended four years ago. The country's divisions run deep between the conservative east, liberal west, and autonomous Silistria. These divisions are glaring in light of the upcoming national elections between President Al-Fayeed's Coalition for Progress and the opposition Conservative Akhadic Party led by Hamar Asmar.

Today in news Sūrya Bhūmi Rā'ijiṅga in record numbers voted for independence in a super majority. The news was took badly in Soyabar with protests by government who refused to recognise the result saying that the future nation voted the "wrong" way. The emperor of Soyabar has triggered a crisis by refusing to allow independence releasing the following statement:"We the people of the Empire of Soyabar have to say this about the Referendum

We view the referendum as legal, but we have our concern.
We will debate in parlemaint and have to discuss this with the local goverment of New Zealmark.

However, we can already say that we will not yet leave New Zealmark until at least after New Zealmark has been rebuild.

The announcement immediately caused outrage in Svarna Surya with protests on the streets numbering millions calling for government action. The (de facto) president Vijay Tata released the following statement "I the president of Svarna Surya send my congratulations to the independence movement in Sūrya Bhūmi Rā'ijiṅga. I congratulate them on their peaceful hard won battle, dignified victory through a free and fair referendum and support their right to independendence. Our government backs the independence of Sūrya Bhūmi Rā'ijiṅga and calls for the process to start with immediate effect. We recognize  Sūrya Bhūmi Rā'ijiṅga as an independent state with full sovereign rights and will work with whatever government the new state chooses to elect. We condemn the undemocratic, imperialist decision of Soyabar to ignore a legitimate referendum result merely because it didn't go their way. You do not get to ignore the public just because you do not like what they say. Democracy must reign forever. That is why we call on Soyabar to immediately start independence proceedings and for the world to act if they do not do so and therefore illegally and undemocratically occupy the territory."

The new nation also got recognition from two other nations so far. The Kingdom of Goldecia's Mamadou Obama said in a statement "I congratulate New Zealmark on their independence and call on Soyabar to recognise their democratic right to sovreignty and to have the independence they voted for. We as of today recognize the independence of the New Zealmark and the start of the process and call on Soyabar to prepare a gradual withdrawal plan. One cannot ignore a referendum just because one does not like the result."

The Kingdom of Strathaes Clan council and King announced its recognition of independence though said final decision will be up to the new government of which the CPP, PoT and CSP have all announced they will be supporting recognition of independence for the state.

New Zealmark not actually indedepenThe soyabarian statement released earlier only said that the referendum was reconized by the soyabarian goverments and that it was legal according to Soyabarian law. Stating that New Zealmark is independant would be running ahead on the truth.

reform work of his predecessor and mentor. He is considered a controversial figure by many of
Severyane's dwindling "old guard" Perovists.

SEVEROGRAD - After implementing a long awaited expansion of Severyane's "Foreign Economic Zones" current Premier Vadim Radchenko appeared before hundred of press and politicians. Though his speech seemed normal at first, detailing the specifics of the economic zone expansion, it soon turned to a topic most political pundits in Severyane could hardly dream of. The Premier announced a plan to begin a multitude of reforms to the Severyan constitution and said he and his office were "working very closely with the legislative branch to assure the legality of and expediency of the implementation of said reforms." After this statement he proceeded to detail the planned reforms, some of which include:

Repealing all law, articles of the constitution, and court proceedings which ban or otherwise interfere with freedom of speech and freedom to peacefully assemble and protest, repealing all laws which allow the intelligence agencies of the government unlimited power to spy on domestic citizens via any means, disallowing the direct appointment of current military officials to government offices unless they have been retired for a set number of years, dismantling Severyane's Internet censorship tools and their infrastructure, and easing some of the restrictions on emigration.

This is not a complete list, however, these are the most important of the ones mentioned. Premier Radchenko has been hailed by several of Severyane's current legislators as a "Champion of Freedom." Many speculate that he is trying to usher in an unprecedented era of political and civil freedoms never before seen in the history of Severyane. Whether or not the Severyan Judicial Branch will play along with the Premier's reforms is unknown as of yet, however the Premier stated "it does not look like the Judiciary will be able to do anything against these reforms. They are not illegal, simply controversial."

ETOVA - Etova-Cormei International Airport has announced plans to expand it's Terminal 1, which will increase the terminal’s capacity by 6 million passengers per year. The project involves the construction of a new pier and a central building complex.

The new pier will be linked to the existing A and B modules of Terminal 1 and will extend 320 metres into Etova-Cormei's western apron. It will have stands to handle up to 12 aircraft, including two equipped for Siora's largest aircraft.

The overall architectural design is based on a three-level structure consisting of a core adjoining the existing Terminal 1 and a pier. The apron level will house the baggage claim area and departure gates for non-pierside aircraft. The level will be connected to the existing terminal at Module B.

The core building will contain the central security and passport control facilities, as well as F&B and retail offerings. The departure gates, inside the pier, will also be on this level. The level above the departure area will serve to channel arriving passengers, depending on whether they are heading for security screening for connecting passengers on that level or down to the baggage claim area. This level will also have spacious lounge areas.

The expansion project, including the affected arrival areas in the existing Module B, will cover around 80,000 square metres. Construction work on the apron will begin as early as 1581, while the new pier will go into operation in 1585 at the earliest. According to initial estimates, the project will cost a total of $400 million, which Etova-Cormei International Airport will finance partly along with private investors.

“The planned expansion is comparable to the construction of an entirely new airport. It will bring Terminal 1 right up to date,” said Dr Davit Rapava, the Ceribian Finance Minister and Chairman of Etova-Cormei's Airport’s Supervisory Board. “The added capacity will be equivalent to the annual traffic of a smaller sized airport in the region, for example.”

Etova-Comei Internation Airport CEO Luka Gotsiridze added: “With the expansion of Terminal 1 we are taking an important step to secure the future of our airport. For the airlines already operating here, we are opening up long-term growth perspectives while creating space for new airlines that want to offer flights to and from Etova in the future.”

Percival Safirus, Governor of Eastmarch, has denounced a coup d'etat against Regent Ambrosius, and has declared that the Galasian forces in Eastmarch and Nova Tarial will remain loyal to the constitution and the New Galasian monarchy. He blamed the murder of Regent Ambrosius and the other members of the royal family on Lieutenant-General Tristan Morganus. He also denounced the detention of Air marshal Maloren Lucius four days after the alleged coup d'etat.

Safirus called to the Council of National Unity to resign and reestablish the constitutional order. However, it is not clear how this is supposed to operate, as both the parliament and the government was unconstitutionally dissolved by the so-called Council of National Unity, and all adult members of the royal family are currently either dead or disappeared.

Safirus version clearly contradict the version given by Lieutenant-General Tristan Morganus and the Council of National Unity, which claimed that the Armed Forces intervened to stop a conspiracy against the government which resulted in the murder of Regent Ambrosius and several members of the royal family. Since the Alvan 4 events, thousands of citizens were arrested by New Galasia security forces. Prime Minister Marius Calpurnius was murdered that day allegedly by a group of unidentified armed men as well as several other members of the government, while other ministers are declared disappeared. The Council of National Unity announced that it started an investigation about it and declared that they were not arrested.

According to the version of the Council of National Unity, Regent Ambrosius was allegedly murder by Major Brutus Pellinorius, a military officer who was recently in charge of the of the security of the Regent and other members of the royal family. Not evidences of that were given so far, but the Speaker of the Council of National Unity assured that such information will remain secret until the ongoing investigation is finished, for security reasons.
