1600 Dosa 20
Another wonderful flight. New Magawa Airways Flight 574 flew 38,000 feet in the air, carrying with it it's 324 passengers. The captain, Satoshi Nakazaki, a veteran with more than 10,000 hours of flight experience on various aircraft, was feeling confident as the plane approached the border between Carpathia and Eskkya. The co-pilot, Katsura Hashimoto, a newcomer with only about 2,000 hours on his belt, was using this as a valuable learning experience. A new hire to the company, his skill as a pilot was not in question, but it was standard airline policy for captains to be veterans. The flight engineer, a position common on Akitian airlines but rare among foreign airlines, was Jun Hasegawa, someone who was well respected in the company and known for his skill and reliability as a flight engineer. It seemed like the perfect environment for Katsura to gain more experience flying.
Satoshi had just signed off from Carpathian air-traffic control. Luckily things seemed to be going smoothly, tensions between Eskkya and Carpathia were at an all-time high but that didn't seem to affect Akitian flights for the moment. He turned to his co-pilot.
"If I handle the flying for now, do you want to check into Eskkyan air traffic control?" he asked.
"Sure." replied Katsura, before he started using the radio.
"Bealadaii Control, this is Magawa 574. We are bound for Rambouillet, we would like clearance to enter Eskkyan airspace, over."
Inside the cabin of the aircraft, 4 people watched the flight-map as the plane was about to enter Eskkyan airspace. They knew that it was soon the time to carry out their plan, meticulously planned over the past few months, with 4 recruits. They were Jiro Taniguchi, a member of the Imperial Akitian Army, Ryutaro Takahashi, a man who left the Imperial Akitian Navy a year ago, Saburo Kawasaki, a young chemist, and Ken Tachibana, an Eskkyan-Akitian dual citizen who had been shunned by his family for converting to a different religion. They had boarded this flight not with the goal of going to Eskkya, nay they didn't intend to step off of this flight at all. All of them had some circumstance that meant they would much rather disappear than that.
Hours earlier they had already prepared everything in their hand luggage for what was to come next, now they just made a final check. Each of them carried with them five 100ml containers of liquids. They were as shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, skin lotion, and deodorant. Or at least, that's what it looked like. But that's not what was in those containers. Those containers each held 100ml of liquid sarin, something Shinkokyo had used before in terror attacks. This was a final check. All the containers seemed to be in accounted for.
Two hours before landing, they would act and do their holy act.

Eskkya Central ATC had had a busy day. The airspace was now getting close to capacity for the next 30 minutes but there was just enough space to squeeze the flight in. Air traffice control replied "Bealadaii control to Magawa 574, you have clearance to enter Eskkya airspace, please proceed to 30,000 ft." They would get it through their sector to Rambouillet tower control.

As soon as clearance came in, the pilots immediately followed the instructions.
"Magawa 574, roger. Entering Eskkyan airspace and descending to 30,000 feet."
With that, they programmed in the autopilot the clearance that had been given to them and proceeded. The flight continued for a while, seemingly unimpeded by anything for the moment.
2 hours before landing, the four individuals sprang into action. They each took their bottles and went to a designated part of the aircraft. Ken Tachibana went to the back, next to the restroom, where he pretended to accidentally spill the contents of the bottles. Of course this was done when he didn't think anyone was looking, but he had to keep up appearances just in case. Jiro Taniguchi went to the front of the aircraft, as far as he was allowed, and did the same thing as he entered a lavatory. The other two, in middle-row seats, simply spilled the contents of theirs onto the floor of the plane. Within minutes they had all returned to their seats. Within minutes, their noses started running, one of the first symptoms of sarin poisoning. Next came the nausea, but they didn't complain about it.
However, several passengers near where the liquid sarin was spilled complained. They called the flight attendants, some of whom had the same complaints. Immediately the purser notified the pilots.
When the purser notified the pilots of what was happening, the pilots knew that they would need to assess the seriousness of the situation. For now it seemed nobody was seriously hurt, but it seemed almost as if an illness was spreading through the aircraft. The plane might need to be quarantined when they landed in Rambouillet.
Given the seriousness of the situation, Satoshi took this communication. They'd need to declare a PAN, an emergency call used to describe an urgent situation that didn't pose any immediate harm to lives, one step below a full mayday call. None of the flight crew knew that this was a sarin attack.
"Rambouillet Tower, this is Magawa 574. PANPAN-PANPAN-PANPAN. We have reports of multiple passengers and crew feeling unwell. Definitely some kind of medical issue, not sure what yet. We're going to want to land as soon as possible, can you accommodate? Over."

Eskkya Central ATC got the message. They realised this could be a serious incident. They replied to the call from the aircraft "This is Eskkya Central to Magawa 574. We have received your call, once on ground we will get ambulances to you. Do you receive." This could be nothing but they were not going to take chances.

"Magawa 574, we receive." replied Satoshi. He then turned to the flight engineer. "Can you go back there and see how everyone's doing?"
"Alright, I'll do that." answered Jun, already getting up from his seat. As he walked out of the cockpit and to the cabin, he unknowingly stepped on the liquid sarin spill. Outside he saw numerous passengers with runny noses, drooling, coughing, holding their chests, blinking rapidly, . He witnessed one vomit into a sickness bag, and knew the situation wasn't a good one. What they didn't know was that the fact that the sarin was odorless meant that it was of a high purity, and that did not bode well for the crew.
When Jun saw someone who had, unknowingly to anyone, been almost right next to one of the spills convulse, Jun knew right away it was a serious situation. He rushed back into the cockpit.
"Someone's shaking pretty fiercely back there, this is probably an emergency." he said, but he coughed a little before he went on. "We need to treat it *cough* as such."
Satoshi turned to Jun. "You doing alright?"
Jun blinked for a moment. "I don't know what it is, but I think it's affecting me too." Then he started holding his chest.
"Alright, nobody else leave the cockpit." Satoshi replied.
"MAYDAY, MAYDAY, MAYDAY. Rambouillet Tower, this is Magawa 574. Medical emergency. We have people shaking pretty badly, whatever's going on it's got our flight engineer as well. We're going to need our path down *cough* cleared."
Satoshi was surprised by the cough, it was sudden. None of them knew that the aircrafts own pressurization system was causing the poison to spread throughout the aircraft.
Calling a mayday so soon after a PAN call was unusual to say the least, it would probably raise more than a few eyebrows on the ground.

Eskkya Central ATC were shocked to be hearing Mayday so soon. This rarely happened and immediately alarm bells were ringing . Realising how serious this was the air traffic control contacted Bealadaii Airport to clear a runway. This would result in delays and cancelled flights but better safe than sorry. The Eskkya Central ATC contacted the aircraft to acknowledge the Mayday . "Eskkya Central to Magawa 574 . We are rerouting you to Beladaii. Turn back to Beladaii.Descend to 20,000 ft and then onto Beladaii approach. "

"Magawa 574, roger that. Diverting *cough* to Bealadaii and descending to 20,000 feet. Should we *cough* contact the tower in Bealadaii?"
Just then another call came into the cockpit. It was the purser, who reported that 4 passengers were dead. She didn't know that these were the 4 very passengers responsible for this situation. All of them received very high doses of sarin when they did the attack, leading to their quick deaths.
"uh, Rambouillet Tower we just got word that 4 of our passengers are dead. Please *cough* advise Bealadaii that we need to land asap."

Eskkya Central ATC heard the coughing. They grew increasingly concerned. They radioed Bealadaii to clear the runway and put firefighters on standby just in case. They radioed the flight "Eskkya Central ATC , Bealadaii advised runway is clear for landing please descend to 10,000 ft. " By this time the authorities were getting very concerned.

"Roger that, Magawa 574 descending *cough* to 10,000 feet." After that the crew made a cabin announcement.
"Ladies and gentleman, *cough* this is your Captain speaking. As you are aware, *cough* we appearing to be having some medical issues on-board." he started "We are diverting to Bealadaii and should be landing *cough* shortly. Please remain seated and carefully follow the instructions from your cabin crew."
With that he turned to his colleagues in the cockpit. "Landing checklist." With that the flight crew input what they needed to do and began working through the checklist to prepare for landing. It took a short while but the preparations were soon complete, the rest was only things they could do closer to the actual approach.
Once done, Satoshi turned towards the others in the cockpit, but froze when he saw Hasegawa.
"Hasegawa? Are you okay?" He said, alarmed, as he looked towards his flight engineer. He was holding his head, breathing rapidly, and coughing excessively. Shortly after he fell off his chair and onto the floor.
"This is bad..." Satoshi turned to Katsura "we need get to Bealadii."
Immediately after, Satoshi started violently coughing and vomited where he was. Katsura, shocked, immediately plugged in what he had to into the autopilot and called air traffic control.
"Bealadii Control, Magawa 574. *cough* Our flight engineer is incapacitated and it looks like the captain won't last much longer. *cough* I'm feeling whatever's going on here too, so I'm not sure how much longer I'll last."

The radio call shocked the ATC then the radio fell silent despite multiple attempts to contact. The control saw the jet heading in direction to Carpathia and kept radioing to lower towards Bealadii but nothing could be hear but silene, They rerouted other planes and closed airspace around the plane. Then it happened the plane entered Carpathia, they phoned the Carpathian Air Traffic control alerting them of the situation.
