Funeral of the emperor

[Soyabarian Empire]

3 weeks after the death of the soyabarian emperor

After 3 weeks of mourning soyabar was ready to bury its glory together with the last emperor which family had been ruling Soyabar since the year 420 after the independance from Lanlania. Preparations were made, invitations were send to other foreign nations to send a delegation of whoever they liked. No minimum rank, tough it was respected if the attended countries who would coorperate with the new soyabarian republic would send their head of state, at least those who wanted to be on good footing.

The former military arm of the royal guard was all ready and set to march out for the last time in the streets of the capital of soyabar, Handwerpenstad. Now it would be waiting for the attendance to arrive and get the proper honours beffiting their ranks.

8 AM Handwerpenstad

The entire city woke up from it slumber with loud bangs from the 50 artillery shots, the first of many to follow during the day. The IIL marched by the coffin as a final saulute during these shots asswell. They further assembled in front of the coffin which had been ceremonially placed at the doorsteps of the imperial palace. All fell silent not long after.

Out of every intercom horn played the Soyabarian national anthem. The system which was in place to sound the alarm in times of war, is now being repurposed to play the national anthem. For this funeral. Its end signalled the start of the military procession from the imperial palace to the final . The slower pacing of the formal ceremonial step of the IIL fitted right in the "mournning" step of the regular army.

Once the proccession started to the imperial tomb which is normally 15-20 minutes walking would now take 30-45 minutes due to the low stepcount. During those 30 minutes the artillery would fire the salute non stop.

The prosession came to a halt, the IIL went into the crypt room where dignitaries from new zealmark were and nobles and goverment officials were already present. Outside the artillery changed its firing to resemble a heartbeat pew pew.... pew pew. Slower and slower each lowering of the casket went in the costum made marble carofachus until the emperor was completly lowered down. A salvo was fired again and the ILL Started signing, for the last time the old Imperial anthem Joined in with some of the best opera singers at the chorusus.

United forever in friendship and labor, Our mighty Empire will ever endure. The great Serateg Union will live through the ages. The dream of a people their fortress secure.

Through days dark and stormy where great Emperor lead us Our eyes saw the bright Sun of freedom above and the emperor our leader with faith in the people, Inspired us to build up the land that we love.

Once the echo's died out from the anthem. The highest surviving officers from the ILL Closed the lit With loud BANG similtaously the last shot of the artillery came.
They turned to the exit, and yelled THE EMPEROR'S DEAD, LONG LIVE SOYABAR They refused to yell the republic. But they all had to grab their weapons and throw it under the new republic's flag as they marched out together with the rest of the other Imperial guard




Thus an end to an era ended for the serateg people and a new era began. The third Serateg age had begun
