Chancellor of Volta to hold a Direct Wire Q&A TV Session
by Christel Schäfer
State broadcaster VNF (Voltaern Nationale Fersehen) has announced that Chancellor Ernst Krenz will appear on national television for a new show on Alvan 3rd, 1580. The new show, which is called "Direkt Draht mit die Kanzler" (Direct Wire with the Chancellor) will have the Chancellor answering random questions from viewers, some from inside Volta and others from abroad. The show will broadcast for 3 hours in the afternoon of that day, largely targetting the time period where people have stopped working. It will be the first time that the Chancellor has appeared on national television to directly answer the people's questions.
Questions can be submitted through phone calls, SMS, video calls, or even social media. There is expected to be a large volume of questions, so moderators are expected to choose questions on the topics most frequently asked. Questions can be about anything, including domestic and foreign policy, local issues, or even the personal life of the Chancellor. Questions can be anything from simple yes or no questions, to even more complicated questions that may require long answers. Subjects covered are expected to include the progress of political reforms in the country, along with the general state of the country.
The Direct Wire will be broadcast on national television starting 7 PM on Alvan 3rd, 1580. It will also be livestreamed through the VNF website, free for anyone to watch. Other broadcasters, both foreign and domestic, may also broadcast the event.
