Re: Austria and Iberia. Blac has determined he wants Maria Theresa on the throne, so we're going with this altered timeline:
- a Hapsburg woman married the King of the Germans.
- Starting at some point between 1695 and 1710: The Hapsburg (Austria-Hungary-Bohemia) won the War of Spanish Succession against the Bourbons of Toulouse/Burgundy/Navarre with assistance from the King of the Germans/Holy Roman Emperor.
- 1740-1758: The War of Austrian Succession occurs between the Kingdom of Germany/Holy Roman Empire and Austria-Hungary-Bohemia/Iberia, with the son of the Hapsburg woman claiming the Austrian thrones. It ends with Maria Theresa giving up the thrones of Austria, Hungary, and Bohemia, but keeping the Iberian throne. The King of the Germans seizes the throne of Bohemia and directly annexes some Austrian lands, but leaves the throne of Austria to Maria Anna, Maria Theresa's younger sister. Hungary rejected the King of the Germans and instead elected its own king, while Transylvania declared independence and the count of South Tyrol refused to recognize the King of the Germans as Duke of Tyrol.
