Brief description of your country
Vannusia is a Parliamentary Republic, with a ceremonial Head of State nominated by the Prime Minister and approved by the House of Commons in the Parliament who serves for a five year term renewable once. The Government however is led by a Prime Minister, who is typically the Leader of the largest party, with the House of Commons being elected by First-Past-The-Post and the Senate being a wholly appointed chamber.
Vannusia, originally a Monarchy, saw the Monarchy abolished in a 1561 Referendum, and has thus only had a handful of Presidents during it's short-life as a Republic. Vannusians (the people) are compromising but firm in their beliefs and governments tend to alternate between a neoliberal and fiscally conservative Conservative Party and a Centre-left social democratic United Progressive Party following a few terms.
Vannusian's are fiercely proud of their heritage despite their low population and have an economy primarily focused on services (financial and otherwise) with a heavily reduced manufacturing and construction sector with agriculture also being on the decline.
Brief Summary of how you'd like your country to fit in the world
I see Vannusia not as a war-mongerer, due to it's limited size, but unafraid of investing in defence when necessary, instead the focus shall be on diplomacy (in the region) and beyond whilst also using it's small size to it's advantage in terms of attracting business and trade through competition.
Basically, a friendly people who don't like it when people insult them for their country.
Would prefer capital to be closer to the coast (but not on... accurate I know) but I'm flexible
