Results of New Zealmarkian referendum are in

New Zealmark has chosen. her choice was unwise, to leave the heavenly union between New Zealmark and Soyabar.
As per Soyabarian law, the referendum was not mandatory to attend so not everybody voted on what New zealmark's fate was going to be.

The goverment and the emperor have released the following statement

We the people of the Empire of Soyabar have to say this about the Referendum

We view the referendum as legal, but we have our concern.
We will debate in parlemaint and have to discuss this with the local goverment of New Zealmark.

However, we can already say that we will not yet leave New Zealmark until at least after New Zealmark has been rebuild.

New zealmark erupts in riots



New tensions have erupted in New Zealmark between pro full independance and pro commonwealth groups. to the extend that people got killed, cars and buildings got burned down.
The goverment has yet to react to these events.
Currently it is know that the emperor is conversing with the new zealmarkian prime minister about these events

Official statement of the emperor

Today, the emperor reacted to the violence in New Zealmark.
He told the media that the police will arrest those who instigate the violence and that any unlawfull activity will not be tolerated.
If the people want to protest he said let them protest in peace.

More information has come to the foreground about the protest, the hardline facist movement would have started a legal protest with scants as New zealmark free! while pro goverment protestors had a counter demonstration. Scanting sing to the motherland home of the free! taken right out of the national anthem. Riots it has been said would have started when protestors crossed paths due tough poor planning on the part of the police force. whom have not reacted to it

COUP IN NEW ZEALMARK

Breaking news from New zealmark where an unexpected third party has staged a succesfull illigal coup in New Zealmark. A religious cult whorshiping Vamana uldana. Their teaching tells them to create a classless society where everything is property of Vamana.
The soyabarian military is about ready to strike and all leaves are cancelled until the situation is resolved.

The New Zealmarkian troops still loyal to the commonwealth are instructed to try to regroup on navy vessels or to another country. And make their way (altough perhaps illigally) make their way to soyabar. so they can live to fight another day.
Soyabar has reached out to Svarna and other neighbouring countries for help in restoring the old order.

The emperor dies of a stroke

As the results came in from the referendum from the monarchy question our majesty the emperor has died as a result of a stroke in his private bedchambers.
Officials state that altough they mourn the death of the emperor it will make things easier as he doesn't have any direct heirs.
The transformation to a republic will start soon they say but first we need to give him a proper state funeral and place him in the catacombs where all his predecessors are buried.

A week of mourning has been announced to happen and his funeral procession.

Soyabarian Navy blocks Handwerpenstad

In a surprise move, the Soyabarian navy is blocking the soyabarian capital from the oceanside where all the trade comes in from all around the world. In the radio waves they are stirring up more soldiers to go on strike because the new republican goverment are neglecting the army and the country.

Today, the republican goverment dissassembled after tanks and other material blocked Handwerpenstad from the north. The garrisons it seemed had emptied unto the street. And the streets where in dissarray.

Former Field Marshal Micheal Pétan of the IIL hurried this morning to the bureau of communications in controll of the intercoms. He was able to calm the masses down. Who demanded he took the reign in Handwerpenstad which he vowed not to let last, granting the military a full pardon for doing this and vowed to make things reign.

However, When the former nobility, the republican governor of the provinces and the former republican goverment sat together with pétan they decided tomake him High Chancellor, which under the empire basically was the same thing as prime minister and semi president.

Soyabarian military mobilised

due tough the conflict going on between esskya and Carpathia, the soyabarian military has been mobilised. o prevent a larger spill in rather than in the bay spilling into the middengard sea.
Any military ship will get asked to stay inside the bay so the conflict is less likely to expand onto the navy.
Soyabarian officials also state that no civillian vessal will be denied acces to the middengard sea but military ships will be asked to stay within the affectionally called Lommare bay. Entering without harming soyabar navy vessels will be allowed for all ships, tough discouraged until the conflict is resolved.

This press network altough hoping it will be effective, and the conflict will end peacefull questions the effectiveness of a soyabarian naval blocade with its small navy.

Soyabarian goverment clarifies on "blockade"

In recent news there was a report that the soyabarian goverment was going to blockade the bay of Lommarre to safeguard the middengard sea.
Now we are reporting that in fact our navy and special forces are doing wargames at that location as training exercizes.

This correction came after phonecalls from a concerned public, war was coming again.
the war games have the purpose for training and the combat readiness of our troops keeping the soon approaching conflict in mind

Soyabarian police asks Carpathian supporters to be carefull

In a press release, commissar of the federal police of Handwerpenstad asks Carpathian supporters of the womans bridgidina cup to be carefull should their team reach the final and win the match. THe final, like the openingmatch of the cup wil be played in Handwerpenstad.

Further he told the media in the press release both the military and police will be present around the stadium whoever plays that final and that all team members and supporting staff is guaranteed by any means neccesary, but that same guarantee cannot be grandted to fans of the carpathian soccerteam.

One has to keep in mind, that relations between Soyabar and Carpathia were never mended after the shameless abandonment by its former ally during the first Soya Svarna war over new Zealmark.
