Imperial Sentric-Union-Green Coalition forms government

With the collapse of the Moderate-Liberal-Green coalition that has governed the empire for the last several years, the Imperial Sentric Party has finally swooped into power, allying with the Greens and snagging the Greens to form a relative majority in the Imperial riksdag. The seats breakdown is as follows: Lord Spirituals: 32, Imperial Sentric: 315, Union Party: 71, Green Party: 66, Social Democratic Party: 220, Liberal Party: 88, Moderate Party: 188, Independents: 31 Republican Party: 4.

Alfred Aria Sulkholm, leader of the Imperial Sentric Party, has been appointed Prime Minister of the Empire by His Imperial Majesty. Sulkholm has a reputation of racism and misogyny and has many enemies, both political and among the people. Nearly all women MP have already vowed to oppose his entire agenda, while many civil rights group have announced their intentions to protest at the Imperial riksdag, ISP headquarters, and even the Imperial Palace.

"We must defend the legacy of our predecessors," says Jorden Thorssen, leader of the Moderate Party, to justify this decision. As a minority government, the Imperial Sentric-Union-Green coalition requires the support of other members of the riksdag to survive a vote of no-confidence. The Moderate party has elected to take advantage of this to protect the legislative work it won over the last decade.
