Summary of the first rounds
1583 Florinthus Open started with Hylis Open champion Vannevar Cregger leaving the tournament in his first match in Florinthus, after being defeated by Severyan Sasha Reznov who showed his superiority in the last two sets ( 6-1, 6-7, 0-6 and 2-6). Other expected contenders to the title, such as Sainamese Sakamoto Keitaro, Keszarian Zsigmond Pásztor, Gehennan Hermann Manninger, followed the same fate.
In the next round, surprised continued with Hylian Frederick Wahlberg, 1579 and 1580 Florinthian Open winner Reinis Araafs, Hylian Open champion Nehemiah Aicken said goodbye before than expected against minor rivals. But it was the defeat of 1583 champion Oslanburgan Emil Gregersen against Lusby & Corwyn champion Cristophe Penzance in three sets (2-6, 2-6, 3-6).

However, the most unexpected match was the one between the three-time champion Oslanburgan Bothilde Degn and Hylian Elma Lundquist, which was surprisingly won by the latter in two sets (2-6 and 3-6). The other Oslanburgan favourite, Lissi Rasmussen, also failed to qualify to the Round of 16. Surprises continue, as Hylis Open champion Felice Lamb was defeated by A’Sirian Donya Lahijani in three sets (6-3, 5-7, 5-7), disappointing the local fans.
