Forum Use
This forum is dedicated to factbooks for states whose users aren't interested in using the Wiki. There are really two ways of going about this: single-thread factbooks (one thread for all your nation's information), or multi-thread factbooks (multiple threads dedicated to your country's information).

If no one has noticed before, all threads are alphabetized by either author or title in this category, either ascending or descending. This allows you to change how you sort threads. You can change the sorting options up here:



Because of this, how you name your thread is important, as it impacts where in the list it will appear. This is doubly important if you decide to spread your nation information across multipe threads.


Single-Thread Organization
You can name your factbook however you like, including either the short name, long official name, whichever fits. However, remember that your title will affect where your factbook appears in the sorted list of threads.

To keep things standard, it's helpful if everyone follows (roughly) the same format.

Thread Subject should be either the full long name (with the country at the beginning), or your common shortened name. For example:

• Germany
  
• Germany, the Federal Republic of
  
• Spain
  
• Spain, the Kingdom of
  
• Great Britain
  
• Great Britain and Northern Ireland, The United Kingdom of
  
• France
  
• French Republic, The
  
• Russia
  
• Russian Federation, The

And so on.


Multi-Thread Organization
If you decide to use multiple threads for your nation information, it's recommended that you follow the same naming rule for ALL of them; you can use any of the naming conventions above, but once you pick one, stick with it so that all your nation's threads will appear together in the alphabetized list.

Some recommendations might look like:

• France: Government
  
• France: Military
  
• France: Religion

Or,

• French Republic, The - Government
  
• French Republic, The - Military
  
• French Republic, The - Religion
