Romulus

The Romulan Republic is incredibly young by Sioran standards, being barely more than forty-five years old. However, the Romulan people are still one of the most tested and yet enigmatic in the entire world. With a society that is believed to be at least several centuries old and spread out amongst several different regions and continents, Romulans have always looked to the future with hopes and dreams. Scientific research and development has been the hallmark of Romulan society since its inception, yet it has not translated to a powerful people dominating the world. Rather, the Romulans developed an odd inward feeling, largely distrustful of foreign entities and simply wanting to be left alone. Though aware of world events, Romulus simply did not care. In a way, a bubble developed over the city and its outlying countryside. As the world grew and nations rose and fell, Romulus watched and waited. With the world seemingly in flux and a new world order beginning to emerge, the Romulans felt now was the time to emerge as a player in the world. But, it would seem almost contradictory to Romulan tradition of isolationism. With the establishment of the Republic in 1555, Romulan strength began to show itself.

Little is known about the true strength of the military or economy of Romulus, considering the great deal of isolationism the Romulans put up around them. But what can be said is that the Romulans are a remarkably shrewd people, and it is very possible that the world in general will begin to see the true strength of the Romulan Republic. This new century could tell the story...
