30th Interleague Super Cup

Happy Thirtieth birthday, Super Cup! Welcome one and all to this very special running of the Interleague Super Cup, proudly brought to you by the Football Association of Nyland in association with Millerainian Major League Soccer! For the ninth year running, foreign teams have been asked to join the invitational, but with twenty-four foreign club teams to the competition, the tournament is chock full of international talent. With so much foreign competition, can Flåleandshem Metro be the first team to successfully defend its title, on this very special anniversary edition of the tournament? Will Millerainia be able to hold their own and secure the title from the champions of Nyland, and keep the cup in local hands, away from the best-of-the-best club teams from Angiris, Strathae, Drahen, Goldecia, Sequoia, & newcomer Severyane? Only the next four months of the Beautiful Game can tell the story!

Qualification
League qualification for the Super Cup is decided by a random drawing of all interested leagues via a complex computerized system to make sure selection is as fair and unbiased as possible. The countries of Nyland and Millerainia have a total of 4 slots each with which to make entries into the cup, and are automatically selected to enter the cup; the remaining 24 participant slots are split evenly between the six national leagues that were lucky enough to be selected.
Which club teams each of the different leagues send are dependent entirely upon the leagues, themselves; the Interleague Super Cup Committee has no say in creating or enforcing the rules by which leagues select the teams that will participate in the cup. However, the club teams that enter the cup are generally considered the best teams in their respective nations.
