Why should your nation host the event:
Castleon is looking to host for the first time ever, bringing the spectacle and excitement of the world cup to the small south-brigidnan nation in an effort to improve interest in the rather average national team. Castleon certainly has the facilities to manage the event, as support for club football in Castleon is excellent. With the SIFA investment into infrastructure that comes with hosting a world cup, Castleon can ensure that many publicly owned stadiums get renovations they need.
What is the football background in your nation: Castleon has a long history of football and features a multi-level professional and semi-professional system, capped by the Primera Division. While club teams from Castleon have found success at the continental level, the Castleon national team has struggled in Brigidna. They have been to the Brigidna Cup final twice (1561 and 1549) but have failed to win on both occasions. Castleon most recently played in the 1582 SIFA World Cup in Angiris, but failed to get out of the groups, achieving a 29/32 place finish based on tie breakers. Castleons domestic leagues, particularly at the top, are supported by foreign players mostly, as the current crop of Castleon homegrown players are average at best.
Anything else of note: The Castleon government has agreed to renovate all major airports and other major transportation arteries should they receive the bid to host the world cup. SIFA will be expected to support stadium renovations along with private and public funding to ensure the event is a major success.
