Percival Safirus, Governor of Eastmarch, has denounced a coup d'etat against Regent Ambrosius, and has declared that the Galasian forces in Eastmarch and Nova Tarial will remain loyal to the constitution and the New Galasian monarchy. He blamed the murder of Regent Ambrosius and the other members of the royal family on Lieutenant-General Tristan Morganus. He also denounced the detention of Air marshal Maloren Lucius four days after the alleged coup d'etat.

Safirus called to the Council of National Unity to resign and reestablish the constitutional order. However, it is not clear how this is supposed to operate, as both the parliament and the government was unconstitutionally dissolved by the so-called Council of National Unity, and all adult members of the royal family are currently either dead or disappeared.

Safirus version clearly contradict the version given by Lieutenant-General Tristan Morganus and the Council of National Unity, which claimed that the Armed Forces intervened to stop a conspiracy against the government which resulted in the murder of Regent Ambrosius and several members of the royal family. Since the Alvan 4 events, thousands of citizens were arrested by New Galasia security forces. Prime Minister Marius Calpurnius was murdered that day allegedly by a group of unidentified armed men as well as several other members of the government, while other ministers are declared disappeared. The Council of National Unity announced that it started an investigation about it and declared that they were not arrested.

According to the version of the Council of National Unity, Regent Ambrosius was allegedly murder by Major Brutus Pellinorius, a military officer who was recently in charge of the of the security of the Regent and other members of the royal family. Not evidences of that were given so far, but the Speaker of the Council of National Unity assured that such information will remain secret until the ongoing investigation is finished, for security reasons.
