solar eclipse this august - Flo - 06-22-2017 Check out this shit http://www.cbsnews.com/news/solar-eclipse-may-be-most-viewed-ever/ I know some of you will basically be in the total eclipse zone. Still, many others will get to see at least a partial eclipse. It's this August 21. It's a Monday. I believe arkman and sal/oer live in the totality zone. good for you guys!!! RE: solar eclipse this august - Seperallis - 06-22-2017 Sal and I already got our eclipse glasses ready, and made sure our birthday summer trip extended thru that Monday. I've been watching this date for months. 8) I also had a detailed google map from NASA where you could click on the map or input a location, and it would give the exact time of the eclipse, and the durations of partial/full eclipse. It was grand. It's somewhere around here... https://eclipse.gsfc.nasa.gov/eclipse.html https://eclipse2017.nasa.gov/ RE: solar eclipse this august - Seperallis - 06-22-2017 Found it. https://eclipse2017.nasa.gov/eclipse-maps You gotta click on "interactive map" RE: solar eclipse this august - Flo - 06-22-2017 seriously though, I'm super excited you guys get to see totality. That's so dope. I'll still get like 88% or so where I'm at, but I'll need those dorky ass glasses the whole time lol RE: solar eclipse this august - Seperallis - 06-22-2017 You guys just gotta take a day or two off and get down here to see it with us. RE: solar eclipse this august - Flo - 06-22-2017 lol if she wasn't a school teacher maybe. We'll see... maybe I could convince her to take a vacay day to see a once in a lifetime experience. We'll still get like 90% coverage or so. RE: solar eclipse this august - Seperallis - 06-22-2017 If you can't take a vacation, just go to my grandparents', they live next to the point of greatest duration. RE: solar eclipse this august - Flo - 06-22-2017 Isn't that near Arkland? (Missouri whereabouts) RE: solar eclipse this august - Sal - 06-22-2017 If anyone is going to be watching the eclipse and needs sun-safe glasses, this is the NASA-approved brand we went with (comes with commemorative poster!). I will post any photos/videos I manage to get. Here's hoping for no clouds. RE: solar eclipse this august - Aerandariel - 06-22-2017 Ohio completely misses out on this eclipse. I'm a little upset |
