THE DRAH-HOLY LANLANIAN SECURITY TREATY OF 1568

The Governments of the Imperial Republic Drahen and the Holy Lanlanian Empire, recognizing the dangers posed by the developing atmosphere in Brigidna, declaring an interesting in preserving peace and security in the Lagrain Sea, and hoping to maintain the peace their states have historically enjoyed, have agreed to the following articles:

Article 1
The Government of the Holy Lanlanian Empire recognizes northeastern Skathia as a Drah Region of Interest and shall refrain from interfering in this region without first consulting the Government of the Imperial Republic.

Article 2
The Government of the Imperial Republic of Drahen recognizes the western Brigidna as a Holy Lanlanian Region of Interest and shall refrain from interfering in this region without first consulting the Government of the Holy Lanlanian Empire.

Article 3
The Government of the Holy Lanlanian Empire shall refrain from entering any sort of military alliance, direct or indirect, with any country in the Drah Region of Interest without first consulting the Government of the Imperial Republic.

Article 4
The Government of the Imperial Republic of Drahen shall refrain from entering any sort of military alliance, direct or indirect, with any country in the Holy Lanlanian Region of Interest without first consulting the Government of the Holy Lanlanian Empire.

Article 5
The Government of the Holy Lanlanian Empire shall, at the request of the Government of the Imperial Republic, advise its friends and allies within its Region of Interest to refrain from intervening in affairs within the Drah Region of Interest.

Article 6
The Parties shall refrain from giving military aid, including but not limited to equipment, munitions, land, air, or naval vehicles, to countries in a state of war with the other. They further commit to prevent their Businesses, Organizations, Citizens, Subjects, and Nationals from doing the same.

Article 7
The Parties shall make an effort to prevent their allies from committing to a war against the other, though shall not be prevented from adhering to their treaty commitments to their allies.

Article 8
This Treaty shall automatically and immediately be rendered null and void should either Government sign, enter, or otherwise engage in a military alliance with a country within the other’s Region of Interest or should it engage in a war or other belligerent action against the other.

Article 9
This Treaty shall be ratified according to each signatory’s respective legal processes. It shall enter into effect the date instruments of its ratification have been exchanged by all signatories.

Article 10
This Treaty shall remain in effect for a period of eight years from the date of the exchange of ratifications. The period may be extended by four years by the mutual agreement of all Parties.

Article 11
A Party may cease to be a Party one year after giving a notice of denunciation to the other.

Article 12
The Lanlian and Mestran texts of this Treaty shall be equally authentically, and a copy of each shall be deposited to the archives of all Parties.
