Brief description of your country Solhaven is a collection of largely autonomous city-states in northeastern Kvaenna. Each city-state largely controls its own domestic policies but all foreign policy control is sent off to the Confederate Representative Council, the ruling body of the entire country made up of representatives from each city-state that meet in the capital city of Hyperion. Each city-state controls its own local police forces and militias but a larger combined Confederate military is equipped to deal with threats to all of the nine city-states. Brief Summary of how you'd like your country to fit in the world Solhaven is largely neutral, with no real significant slant one way or the other. This would make it a fair diplomatic power. Its military strength is enough to defend itself from invaders if need be, but the Confederacy would be loath to use it. Economically, it's not much stronger than most of its neighbors and freely trades with just about anyone. The Parliament is elected democratically, and the numbers are decided by how much percentage of the votes said party got. Each party, however, is given one representative unless they make up less than The ceremonial events are led by the Queen of Silvanias, but other than that, the Queen doesn’t have much power. The Prime Minister does most of the work. As for technology, Silvanias is average in that. It gets most of its technology from neighboring and faraway countries she has deals with. Brief Summary of how you'd like your country to fit in the world Silvanias should be a diplomatic power. I’d also like her to be a trade/economic power, but she would be a rather weak defense power, as most of her funds are put elsewhere. Most wars won by her would be done with the alliances that her strong leaders make. Likely of whatever faith is in the area. The country would be moving from communism to more democracy but with a very conservative tint. The country would be reembracing its old religion with a vengance after its atheist oppression period.Either that or after communism a new national conservative style of politics developed with one party rule in practise with a putin like figure only more anti-gay and ultra-conservative while opposition in reality have little chance of election with media, business and oligarchs supporting the government. Rather, Caparetta simply respects its traditions. A lot. Centuries of tradition, in addition to law, have made Caparetta the country that it is today. The country is divided in three ways; by language and culture, by religion, and by class. There are simultaneous, and at the same time interconnected, power struggles between the Geins, Laurentians, and Aquitans; the commons, aristocracy, and royal family; and the Avalsyanist and Sentric faiths. These various groups have achieved a fragile balance of power. The current royal family was originally of Aquitan stock, but has interbreeded with the other noble families to such an extent that it doesn't much matter. The parliament consists of two houses.
