RE: Mobile Suit Gundam: Siora - Seperallis - 11-10-2020

While the young "mechanic" had been evading tackles from guards, others followed after with their weapons, drawn from various parts of the facility by the commotion. By the time the closest of them could round a certain corner and spot the suspicious fleeing figure, he was already being hoisted by the hulking mobile suit's descended boarding hatch. While the first responders picked themselves up, the new arrivals leveled their guns while calls to halt were clearly ignored.

Three shots rang out, then a fourth half a second later. None of them met their mark. One guard yelled, and lay on his side supporting a widening patch of red on his thigh.

"Dang, I missed," said a second. A third, a tall, dark-skinned man in a goatee, grimaced slightly at his partner's slightly-too-forced delivery; he paused a moment for the gundam pilot to be safely cocooned within the cockpit. Satisfied, he turned his attention to the fallen man as more security began to arrive behind him.

"Jeff! Shit, I'm sorry," the third man lied, "my gun misfired as-"

"Fuck! I don't care, just make it stop!"

"Soon," said the second, coming to help, "but that's a mobile suit. Come on, we gotta get you out of here."

Inside the cockpit, it was obvious the security wasn't suicidal; as it became clear the mystery mobile suit was now piloted, the ones that weren't struck in awe by the advanced weapon began to run for cover, and some clearly looked confused as attempts to call on portable radios were met with no responses.

In contrast, three sharp alarm pips warned of an incoming one-way message in the cockpit, and then the familiar voice of an older man in a heavy East-Ostaran accent delivered a terse code, "Ten two-seven, nine-alpha-nine, x-ray two-zero."

Plan addendum: complete target elimination within 20 seconds, additional facility destruction within 40 seconds. Minimize bystander casualties.

Almost as if to punctuate the message, the train began moving as the last of the trucks peeled away, both making to leave the port immediately. While both targets could be gone within the time frame, the train would be several kilometers away and accelerating. As the occasional bullet plinked desperately off the gundam's armor, facility workers scrambled from the site, and mission timers began counting down, the need for decisive action - whatever the course - was at hand.
