Esteemed diplomatic administrator, the system as described would be more than sufficient for the intended usage.

RE: Suggestions: Board Improvement - Ayzek - 03-24-2017

Tch, whatever. >_>

Okay, I've added a thing. It works with 1-9, A-Z, and a-z. No symbols, but words are okay. Also, as I mentioned before, if there's a second post using the same...reference id, the tag link may lead to both or either or--IDRK. Isolating it per post would be too much of a hassle~

Esteemed diplomatic facilitator, thank you for the support. This will be more than sufficient for academic purposes. There is an additional suggestion.

Suggestion: Dice roller
Area of the Community the Suggestion is aimed at: Those who wish to implement randomness in diplomatic communiques, especially in theoretical/future areas.
How can it be implemented?: Via any number of MyBB scripts such as https://mods.mybb.com/view/dymy-dice.
How will it benefit us?: Those who wish to implement randomness (such as for a light version of Unified Combat Guidelines) will find this greatly beneficial to make communiques less deterministic.

RE: Suggestions: Board Improvement - Seperallis - 06-18-2017

Quick suggestion: alt-text descriptions on the forum picture/links, so people unsure of things can know what specific places are for. In this way, we might avoid having spam and discussion threads getting mixed together under three different forums (like now), or maybe people will know what our fancily-named places under the Oblivion Compound are for.

For example, mousing over "Siora" for a couple seconds might display the text "Siora - Modern tech nation role play is conducted here."

RE: Suggestions: Board Improvement - Ayzek - 06-18-2017

There's actually a thread that tells what's supposed to go in what forum...the Starter Guide that new people are supposed to read. (I don't know if they do or not though.) I ~guess~ there's no real harm in having another guiding text on the index itself...except for all those godawful not-short hover texts that'd appear. <_<

Are you suuuurreeeee you want those? Check out Twilight's Portal and the Directorate. >_>

Edit: an alternative is setting up forum rules/description text within the forum itself, which'd leave the index page uncluttered. I've set up an example in the Directorate.

RE: Suggestions: Board Improvement - Seperallis - 06-18-2017

I think I prefer the hover text to having descriptions within each area, as that would make things readily apparent as to what they are without clicking on them. I'm torn between adding a delay for the popup or not, though. If you prefer the description text, then go for it. Flipped Smile

RE: Suggestions: Board Improvement - Ayzek - 06-18-2017

I'm not sure I can add a delay. At least, not reasonably easily. The current one uses the HTML title attribute as opposed to having a separate span/div on-hover pop up that would be tedious to set up. It'd probably take all of, like, 10 minutes, as opposed to 5 seconds.

Esteemed diplomatic facilitator, we await your reply on the subject of: DICE ROLLER, DIPLOMATIC COMMUNIQUES. This would greatly help combat to be conducted fairly or inject other non-deterministic variables into diplomatic communications.

RE: Suggestions: Board Improvement - Seperallis - 06-20-2018

I agree, that would be lovely. Especially since Flo has already offered to roll dice rolls for A.E., we could simply do it ourselves with this. Also, I could make some more tabletop RPG-like roleplay elsewhere without doing secret rolls.

His Most Serene Imperial and Royal Apostolic Majesty is considering the idea.
